Cosmetic Dentistry at PBA Dental Health in Liverpool

We can give nature a helping hand.

All of the cosmetic dentistry undertaken at the practice is carried out to the highest standard by dentists who have extensive training and experience in this area. Our objective is to deliver dentistry that is both aesthetic and functional, and maintains as much natural tooth as possible. We use modern, gentle techniques which when possible avoid aggressive preparation of the teeth. All of the materials that we use are safe and biocompatible.

Cosmetic dentistry  techniques can help to restore:
  • Chipped or broken teeth
  • Missing teeth can be replaced with Dental Implants
  • Gaps between your teeth can be closed to give your smile a more even look.
  • Stained or dull teeth can be made whiter with Tooth Whitening treatments.

Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening is the latest technique that can improve your smile. Coffee, red wine, tobacco and age can all darken your teeth. Whitening can lighten the shade of your teeth considerably. Visit our Tooth Whitening page for more information.

Porcelain veneers are very thin ceramic laminates shaped to fit the outer surface of the teeth. They then cover any imperfections and deliver improved aesthetics. At PBA Dental Health extensive planning is undertaken prior to any cosmetic treatment. Temporary or ‘provisional’ veneers will always be placed over your teeth while the final restorations are made in the laboratory. This provisional stage is very import as the temporary veneers not only protect your teeth, but they also allow you to see how your teeth will look prior to the placement of the final veneers. A veneer can be used on a single tooth, or to create a whole smile makeover.

At PBA dental health we can provide minimal or ‘no preparation’ veneers, designed to maintain as much of your natural tooth as possible.

Composite Resin Artistry

Composite resin artistry enables teeth to be restored or their appearance improved at a single visit, without the need for a laboratory stage. Following detailed planning, layers of ‘composite resin’ material are used to precisely repair chipped or broken teeth or to replace existing fillings that may be visible.

Composite resin artistry enables the provision or replacement of fillings with restorations that are invisible to the eye. At PBA dental health we are happy to provide this service for our own patients and to take referrals from other dentists.

Dental Crowns and Bridges

A crown is an artificial ceramic cover used to replace missing portions of teeth or to strengthen heavily restored or filled teeth. The crown sits over the tooth in order to restore or improve the shape, size, colour and appearance of the tooth. Nowadays, crowns are often indistinguishable from real teeth.

Bridges can replace missing teeth. They are attached to the prepared teeth at each side of a gap where one or more teeth are missing.

Where possible, dental implants are generally the best way to replace missing teeth. They are very often the ideal alternative to bridges and dentures. They can even be used to replace full dentures. Studies show that they are the longest lasting restoration where they can be used. Visit our Implant Dentistry page to find out more.
